By the time the apostle was 40 years old, he was already mentally and emotionally mature. During this time the evils committed by the Quraysh were very displeasing to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) decided to isolate himself from the people while worshiping and thinking about the greatness of Allah. He stayed here for days and even months. He was taking his food and drinks. The place he was going to was in a cave known as Hiraa cave.

 

Hiraa Cave was in a mountain called Jabal Nuru. This rock was found about two miles from the cat. The Prophet was spending his time here thinking about the things around him, as well as the nature that Allah has created. When he ran out of food, he returned home.
